Acoustic Sealant: 900ml Tube
Please note these are 900ml tubes and need the larger 900ml applicator gun (NOT the standard 300ml guns)
We recommend 1 Tube for every 10m2 on average (however if your walls are very uneven or you have extra gaps to fill we would recommend some extra tubes)
Acoustic Sealant is a high strength, permanently flexible sealant and adhesive specifically formulated for sealing perimeters and gaps where sound may escape. Also used to dampen vibration around perimeters to reduce flanking vibration and filling and sealing any holes where services have been installed.
It is paintable once cured –
skinning time at 20C – 20mins – paintable 4 hours longer
This non-flammable sealant is water based, solvent free, is easy to use and clean up. It adheres well to just about all substrates used in the building and construction industry. It works equally well on acoustic insulation boards and can be successfully used on walls, ceiling and dry lining applications. Use it to fill large gaps in existing timber floorboards or spaces between floor decking before overlaying with acoustic materials.
It is particularly recommended for sealing the perimeters and edges of floating floors before applying additional soundproofing materials in order to further enhance acoustic performance
